Our Mission

We believe homeowners deserve clear, unbiased information about tree care before making costly decisions. Too often, people call tree companies without understanding their options, what work is actually needed, or what constitutes a fair price.

Arborist North Vancouver exists to fill that gap. We provide educational resources and connect homeowners with qualified, insured arborists—nothing more, nothing less.

What We Do

Educate

We create comprehensive guides on tree removal, pruning, emergency services, permits, and costs specific to North Vancouver. Our content helps you understand when professional help is needed and when it's not.

Guide

Our assessment tool asks the right questions to help you understand your tree situation, potential risks, and appropriate next steps—all before connecting you with any arborists.

Connect

When professional help is needed, we match you with licensed, insured arborists serving North Vancouver. We only work with professionals who carry proper insurance and credentials.

What We're NOT

  • We are not a tree service company
  • We don't perform tree work ourselves
  • We don't charge homeowners for our service
  • We don't sell lead information to contractors
  • We don't promote one company over others

Why North Vancouver?

North Vancouver's unique geography—steep slopes, mature forest canopy, proximity to power lines, and strict municipal bylaws—creates specific challenges for homeowners. Trees that thrive in our wet coastal climate grow large and live long, but they also require proper maintenance and sometimes difficult removal decisions.

Our focus on North Vancouver allows us to provide locally relevant information about permits, typical costs, and area-specific challenges.

Our Standards

Arborists in our network must meet these requirements:

  • Valid business license in British Columbia
  • Minimum $2 million liability insurance
  • WorkSafeBC coverage for all employees
  • ISA Certified Arborist credential (preferred)
  • Verifiable references from recent clients
  • Clean record with Better Business Bureau
  • Adherence to ANSI A300 pruning standards

How We're Funded

We receive referral fees from arborists in our network when homeowners hire them for tree work. This allows us to provide free educational resources and matching services to homeowners while maintaining quality standards for participating arborists.

Importantly: referral fees don't affect which arborists we recommend or how we present information. All arborists in our network meet the same standards and receive equal opportunity for referrals.
